The Netsilon time server is a state-of-the-art solution for distributing time information with microsecond accuracy. This device ensures accurate time display across all clocks and other time-sensitive devices (e.g. desktop computers, video cameras, access control) and makes it easier for nurses and care workers to administer care and medication to their patients. Near-second time management also allows doctors and surgeons in operating theatres to control the duration of each medical procedure in surgery, anaesthesia or resuscitation.
The time server is equipped with an antenna to capture time signals from GNSS satellites in order to synchronise and stabilise its own time base. The use of a GNSS time source enhances a hospital's IT network security via the IP network, in NTP or PTP. This mode of operation greatly reduces the risks of cyber attacks and the installation of malware such as ransomware (ransom demands made against retrieval of confidential personal data on patient medical records).
The timestamping function provided by the time server is used to record and manage network events within event logs. In the event of an incident or basic verification check, an accurate tracking of events provides a wealth of critical information to aid in your decision-making.
