Channel 4 Television Show Features Bodet’s Class Change Systems
Hear Bodet's School Bell System in The Great British School Swap Set in Saltley Academy
Channel 4 viewers on the night of 16th April were able to hear Bodet’s Class Change Systems in The Great British School Swap, which features Saltley Academy in Birmingham.
The programme is a social experiment designed to explore racial segregation in Britain as pupils from schools in two different areas swap places, and explore issues from offensive language to the British national identity. The two schools in question are Saltley Academy and Tamworth Enterprise College. The first programme of three was shown at 9pm on Tuesday 16th April, with the additional two remaining programmes to be shown at the same time each week.
A mixed secondary school founded in 1928, Saltley Academy has just over one thousand pupils. It is part of the Washwood Heath Multi Academy Trust along with Brownmead Primary Academy and Washwood Heath Academy.
Saltley Academy uses Melodys, Bodet’s Wireless Class Change System. With Melodys, all wireless sounders are controlled by a master clock to ensure that a customisable range of bell sounds, melodies and voice messages can be heard throughout the whole site or just in specific zones within the school. This means it requires no cabling between equipment and is easy to install, even to outside areas and multiple school sites.
Bodet also offer Harmonys, an IP/PoE Class Change System designed to use your existing computer network. Harmonys is a five-in-one solution which can also include Lockdown Alerts, Synchronised Clocks, PA functionality and music streaming.
