Spring forward: The clock change is here!
Written in
On Sunday 29th March, clocks will spring forward an hour at 1am as we transition into British Summer Time (BST). The days will become longer giving you extra time to enjoy the evenings!
BST always starts on the last Sunday in March, in time for Spring and the brighter weather. The time will revert back on the last Sunday in October.
Did you know that during the First World War, the UK jumped ahead 2 hours; this was known as ‘Double British Summer Time’. This was due to a need in conserving the amount of coal usage and maximising productivity by making the most of the daylight hours.
It takes roughly five hours to change all of the clocks in Big Ben! While your company may not take quite so long, it can still be a laborious task. Bodet Time’s synchronised clock systems will change automatically across all clocks, digital and analogue, across your premises. Bodet Time’s master clock ensures that every network clock shows synchronised precise time.
