Bodet Time celebrates 35th birthday in 2025

The Bodet Group has been designing and manufacturing its products in Trémentines, France, since 1868. It has had a subsidiary in the UK since 1990, called Bodet Time. A lot has happened at Bodet Time since we celebrated our 30th anniversary during Covid. Let’s catch up.

Bodet Time celebrates 35th birthday in 2025

We changed our name and created a sister company

Formerly known as Bodet Ltd, in 2024 we changed our name to Bodet Time Ltd. Although a small change on the face of it, this enabled us to create a distinct business for our workforce management solution, called Kelio Ltd. Bodet Time was then able to focus on synchronised time and alert solutions.

The Bodet Group has grown its European subsidiaries. The rest of the family comprises Spain, German, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland and French overseas territories.

We introduced new products…

New designs enhanced our extensive clock range

The Profil 730W analogue clock was created for indoor settings in healthcare, education and industry. A classic design combines with strong resistance to impacts and cleaning products.

We added the Profil 750, 760 and 780 analogue clocks to our range for station platforms, concourses and airport terminals. Highly durable and with long viewing distances, they are ideal for indoor and outdoor transport locations.

And, we introduced the Profil 730 OP clock specifically for operating theatres. Tempered glass and an IP65 rating mean it’s a long-lasting, sterile choice for one of the most important areas in a hospital.

The evolution continues in 2025

In Autumn this year we are set to roll out the Bodet Alert app in the UK, ahead of the full implementation of Martyn’s Law. Designed to complement the Harmonys lockdown solution, it will help you manage crisis situations more effectively.

…and continued to evolve existing ranges

We updated the Harmonys multi-site software, which allows you to centralise alert triggering and remotely supervise several sites at once. New features included an event log, licence validity reminders and alarm identification.

We added the ability for Harmonys microphones to broadcast to individual classrooms rather than general zones. In the same vein, the IP/PoE multizone microphone was upgraded to use unicast to give extra control to broadcasting.

Covid further boosted our adaptability

As with all businesses, the pandemic forced us to change the way we worked. Bodet was already an adaptable organisation, thanks to the flexibility that comes with designing and manufacturing its own products. But the pandemic accelerated the development of new functionality to meet our customers’ changing needs. We can only see this approach continuing in the years ahead.

We moved offices

In 2023 the team upgraded its surroundings, moving to a brighter and more modern office. Still in Hemel Hempstead, only 25 miles outside London, this space will be our home for the foreseeable future.

We anticipate continued growth in the next five years

Five years ago, we said we would build upon past successes to develop new products and grow our market share. This remains our philosophy and we are excited about what lies in store as we approach 40.
